Sheltered and sunny, the five beaches near Carnac are much appreciated by families for the fine sand, a gentle slopes to the sea and the wonderfully invigorating and crystal clear waters. St Colomban
Close to the oysters area (which is worth seeing) whose name is le Pô, St Colomban is very good for windsurfing. It can be quiet windy os you can visit the next ones Ty bihan and Legenese which are more intimate. Then you will find La grande plage and further Mendu, perfect to collect seafood (mussels, oysters...). It's very flat so it's also very safe with children.
Make up your choice!
If you want to go windsurfing or kitesurfing, choose St Colomban.Then you can find quiet and quite small sandy beaches (Ty Bihan and Légenèse). To end with, you can find "grande plage" and Men Du beaches. In July and August, avoid soaking in the sun between 12.00 and 4.00p.m. Even if it's not sunny, sun can be dangerous for you and your children. When you're on the water (sailing, windsurfing or surfing...), sun can be even more dangerous
