Fishing with lures, surfcasting... in Brittany

Light surfcasting

A rod of 3.90 or 4.20m rather light, weights of 120g max, a few leaders and especially fresh bait, you are ready for a nice fishing trip in Morbihan. The Gulf of Morbihan offers you many spots and rias (Crac'h, Etel). The main species sought will be sea bass and sea bream. Depending on the type of bait used, you will also find conger eel, local or old. In any case, remember to release them so that they will continue to give us pleasure in the years to come!

Heavy surfcasting

Whether by day or by night, surfcasting enthusiasts will find themselves mainly on the beaches between the fort of Penthièvre and the entrance to the ria d'Etel (there are also good spots on the Lorient side but the distance is no longer the same!). Armed with powerful rods, these fishing enthusiasts will sometimes use braids or even classic nylon. Feel free to stop by the reception to pick up a detailed map of Carnac and its surroundings.

Fishing with lures

Extremely technical, this fishing requires, when practiced from the shore, a sense of observation, a sense of water at all times as well as adapted equipment. The latest trendy lure, full of snake-oil-like attractants won't be enough... Spots are numerous in the area but catches (especially from the bar fish) being rarer in recent years, advice on the right places are rare! Prefer areas near oyster beds, counter-currents in rias, etc....
