Lorient morbihan in Brittany

Lorient has so much to offer: great town center, the Eric Tabarly sailing world, the submarine base of Keroman and its world -famous celtic music festival in August. The marina and ferry port are flooded every year by a human wave that’s here to celebrate the Celtic nations. With a glorious mix of kilts, Breton bagpipes, Irish fiddles and Galician pipes, the Festival Interceltique celebrates a thriving culture. After the grand parade opened by the local Lann-Bihoué pipe band, there follows a succession of concerts, ‘fest-noz’ and great feasts, full of warmth and friendliness. Hennebont has a charm of its own. The old town center is surrounded by two huge towers and the 16th century basilica. This city is part of the "Artistic and historical towns and areas" club. One of the biggest market in Brittany takes place in old town center. If you like horses, you can't miss "les haras" of Hennebont. During 19th century, inhabitants had to fight to keep the famous forges open and alive. So to sum up, you can't miss Notre dame du paradis basilica and Towers Broërec'h in town center. Haras are also worth seeing. If you need any miscelleanous information, you can visit Lorient tourist office website.
